On Saturday, November 10, 2018, Houlka Organization for Pupils’ Education, H.O.P.E., hosted the Fall Festival for our community at Houlka Attendance Center. Activities such as bounce houses, pumpkin tic-tac-toe, a cake walk, and more were enjoyed by everyone who attended.  The school fed our community with warm soups and drinks. A country store was set up inside the school where trinkets, candy, cakes, and homemade soaps were for sale. Mrs. Betsy, the school Superintendent, stated, “The Fall Festival was a great community event!  I appreciate the participation from the fire department and the sheriff’s office. The students really enjoyed the games that the teachers provided. The food was also really good. From all the positive comments that I have heard, I think that it will be even bigger and better next year.” Once again our community has proven that we can come together for a day full of fun and excitement.
